The effect of thinnings on the development of unmixed stands of Black Walnut (Juglans nigra L.)
2000
Tokar, F. (Slovenska Akademia Vied, Nitra (Slovak Republic. Ustav Ekologie Lesa. Pobocka Biologie Drevin)
The work evaluates a 20-year development of volume and weight dendromass production of unmixed stands of Black Walnut (Juglans nigra L.) tended by crown thinnings (moderate and strong) with a positive selection and an interval of repetition 10 years on a series of PRP at Sikenica (Forest Range Levice). The tended stands were behind the control plot in standing volume, stands tended with strong crown thinnings overtake the control PRP in the total dendromass production
