[Intensive stands of forest tree species]

Wider utilization of fast-growing domestic and exotic tree species seems to be most profitable in the first and second vegetation zone in forest regions Podunajska lowland, Vychodoslovenska lowland, to the less extent Juhoslovenska valley and Gemerska hills according to recent results of complex research of intensive stands establishment in existing ecological-economic conditions. Considering production of fancy veneer, tree species like black walnut, butternut, sugar maple, red oak and sweet cherry can be recommended as interesting tree species on the basis of performed tests
