Study on the effect of paclobutrazol on growth and seed yield of four mungbean varieties grown in the Eastern part of Thailand was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Bangpra, Rajamangala Institute of Technology, Sriracha Chonburi in the rainy season. The 2*4 factorial experiment in CRD with 4 replications was employed. Factor A was two concentrations of paclobutrazol of 0 and 100 ppm. Factor B was four mungbean varieties; KPS2, UT1, CN36 and PSU-1. In all case paclobutrazol was applied at 35 days after planting at the rate of 50 ml per plant. The result indicated that plant heights at 15 days after planting were significant. The concentration at 100 ppm of paclobutrazol effected to decrease plant heights of all varieties. KPS2 gave the highest number of seed per pod but gave the lowest pod per plant and 1,000 seed weight. Whereas, CN36 gave the highest seed yield but non significant with PSU-1.
