Purpose of this research was to study the expected roles of Tambon Council Members and Officials in Amphoe Phayakkhaphum Phisai, Changwat Maha Sarakham. Data were collected throught the use of questionnaire for sampling and analysed by SPSS/PC + package. Statistical analysis were percentage, mean and Chi-square. The results showed that sex, age, education and length of work of Tambon Council Members and Officials, and the expected roles of Tambon Council Members viewed by Tambon Council Members and Officials were significantly related, at 0.05 level. Age, education and length of work were the essential factors that created the experience, understanding and acceptance of the roles. Male had the experience of management more than female. Expected roles of Tambon Council Members in ten items viewed by Tambon Council Members and Officials were same at high level.
