This study was conducted to improve germination and homogenity in carrot seeds, which germinate very difficult. As well as to develop a new method for seed treatment, pre-treatment of seeds with Polyethyleneglycol-6000 (PEG-6000) and KH2PO4 was made to improve seed germination. Petri dishes and bubble column were used as pre-treatment methods. Seeds were placed in two layers between blotting paper in petri dishes. In the other method, seeds were placed in aerated solution with aquarium pomp in bubble column. As a result, as compared to the untreated control, germination and seedling emergence time was significantly shortened and homogenity improved when both PEG and KH2PO4 were used to treat carrot seeds. Bubble column method was superior to the petri dishes method
