Investigations on native habitats of pistacia germplasm in Turkey

Pistachio nut species have been widely spread in Anatolia which is one of the most important gene centers of pistachio nut. Both natural populations of world famous rootstock species of P. atlantica, P. mutica, P. terebinthus L.L., P. khinjuk, P. palaestina and P. lentiscus which have not been widely used were determined in the study. Results of the research will be useful for studies on breeding and growing techniques of pistachio in the future.
