Fat, protein, lactose, total solids and solids not fat in raw cow milk

Two hundreds and sixteen samples of raw cow milk were analysed for major milk components using Milko Scan 133 B (Foss Electric, Denmark). About 98.1, 95.5, 81.5, 88.4 and 67.6 percent of sample tested contained fat, protein, lactose, total solids and solids not fat 3.6, 3.2, 4.4, 12.5 and 8.5 percent, respectively. The majority of the milk samples from Nongpo contained fat, protein, lactose, total solids and solids not fat higher than those from Muaklek area.
