Toxicity of carbofuran insecticide on the three growth stages of sixteen maize Varieties

Sixteen maize varieties were sown at Suwan Farm, Nakornrajasima province to determine the toxicity of carbofuran insecticide dosages at three growth stages of maize. There were 48 treatments arranged in factorail experiment with four replications. Carbofuran was applied at the rate of 5, 10, 15 and 20 kg/rai for second, third and fourth weeks stages of sixteen varieties of maize. It was found that the line SW 86L received least damage with 0.50 ear/10 ears followed by SW 86D Ki21, SW 85E Ki 20, KU 27-127, SW 88D KT x 3101, SW 86L Ki 11 and differed from Super Sweet Corn, SW 88D KS x 3103, SW 86L KS x 2301, SW 87L KT x 2602, SW 88 L-C 8 2001, Suwan 2(S) C8-F4, SF 87 E-D8 2223 KS 6(S) C2-F2, SF 86E-D6 701 (Suwan) 1(S) C11-F3, KU 1476, SW 88E-F14 702 Suwan 3(S) C4-F2 and SW 88E-B10 719 KS5(S) C2-F2 respectively.
