[The ecological bases of transforming influence of forest vegetation on the steppe environment]

The results are summed up of many years stationary ecoclimatic studies of forest biogeocenoses of the Steppe zone of Ukraine. Indices are provided of ecological characteristics of a forest ecotope linked to the forests' environment-transforming function in the Steppe. The use of natural forest biogeocenoses is substantiated as models for developing methods and techniques of computer designing of a saw-mill landscape in the Steppe. A new line of research - forest pertinent biocenology - a concept about the environment-transforming role of natural and artificial forest biocenoses of the Steppe zone is set up
