The experiment was conducted at the locality "Sirig", the Vojvodina Province, Serbia (Yugoslavia), on the soil where soybean was not grown last twenty years, the soybean variety Vojvodjanka was used. Soybean seeds were inoculated with microbiological fertilizer Nitragin. Control variant was without inoculation. Before sowing, soil samples were taken for microbiological and agrochemical analyses. The effectiveness of symbiotic association was determined according to the length, dry matter mass, nitrogen content in the above-ground part, root, root nodules, in pods and at the end of vegetation through grain yield of seeds. With seed inoculation the highest dry matter mass (29%) and nitrogen content (34%) were found in the whole plant, highest length of above-ground part (16%), larger number of pods (24%), and at the end of vegetation we obtained higher grain yield of soybean seeds (32%).
