2000
Panayotova, G. (Cotton and Durum Wheat Research Institute, Chirpan (Bulgaria))
Long-term fertilization experiment was carried out with durum wheat and cotton on leached vertisols. The aim of this study was the estimation of the nutrient content in soil after 33 year fertilizer application as well as yields of durum wheat and cotton. The dynamics of main soil characteristics: pH, humus, total and mineral nitrogen content, total P2O5 %, Al-P2O5 and Al-K2O were investigated. In experiment different rates NPK were applied. It was established that content of mineral nitrogen (N) and available P2O5 and K2O increased at long-term fertilization to 37.0%; 15 times and 25.1%, respectively, but ecological negative changes have not be found. Effectively for crop was the moderate N rates (12-16 kg/ha), combinated with 6-8 kg P2O5/ha.
