Mineral structure of afila pea line seed (Pisum sativum L.)

In order to determine the mineral structure of afila pea line mature seed, a three-year investigation was carried out (1993-1995). The total mineral content (iron, copper, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium) was investigated in eight afila lines and four parental varieties. On the basis of the obtained mean values of mineral content in mature pea seed it was recorded that the values of the minerals in the investigated genotypes were within the range recorded by the other authors. Leaflessness does not have any effect on the reduction of the above named minerals in dry pea seed.
