Biomass energy systems produce no net emissions of carbon dioxide because they recycle carbon. The trade of biofuels for energy increases rapidly and must increase even more rapidly in order to fulfil the targets in the EC "White Paper for Renewable Sources of Energy". After the year 2000 the potential of bio fuels represents 10 mil. tons of plant biomass in the Czech .Republic. Biomass is organic material that comes from fast growing plants, such as trees, grass, straw and many other natural materials that are tested to determine whether they are suitable energy sources.
