[Use of ciklosporine (Optimmune 0.2percent opht. ung.) in veterinary ophtalmology]

Seventy-one cases of dogs and cats of different breeds were treated with ciklosporin (Optimmune 0.2% opht. ung.). They suffered from the following diseases: keratoconjunctivitis sicca (41 dogs), keratitis superficialis chronica (12 German sheepdogs), plasmacellular infiltration of the third eye-lid (3 German sheepdogs), corneal pigment deposits (15 dogs), herpesvirus-induced keratitis and corneal necrosis (5 cats). The treatment with Optimmune was successful in all the cases.
