The data on 767 Holstein dairy cows with maximum of 12.5 % of other breeds in their genotypes were used for analyses of relationships between some linear type traits and type evaluation and their relation to milk production parameters. The following parameters were evaluated: rump angle, thurl width, rear legs, foot angle, fore udder attachment, rear udder height, udder cleft, udder depth, teat length, and five overall type characteristics - dairy form, capacity, rump, feet and legs, udder, and final score (a combination of overall characteristics). The highest coefficients of correlation, both phenotypic and genetic, were found between two overall characteristics, udder and dairy form, and final score (rg = 0.569 and 0.566, respectively). The genetic and phenotypic correlations between other parameters were medium or high. The heritability ranged between 0.08 in foot angle and 0.30 in thurl width. The heritability of the overall parameters ranged from 0.14 in udder to 0.39 in capacity.
