First report of Tyzzer's disease in a dog in Hungary

The authors describe the first recognized occurence of the Tyzzer's disease in a dog in Hungary. The disease was diagnosed in a puppy treated with a history of profuse reddish diarrhoea at the University of Veterinary Science, Budapest. Tyzzer's disease appears in an acute from, which shows a classic triad of myocardial, hepatic and intestinal lesions.It occurs usually in a young animal, which was previously vaccinated, stressed or treated by immunosupressive agents.
