In a way of obtaining eco-regional of varieties, optimum crop spacing, and of optimizing of phosphor (P) and potassium (K) fertilizer, it can be carried out throughout analyzing crop growth. The objective of this study was to find out the eco-regional variety, optimum spacing, and optimum P and K fertilizer based on growth analyses approaches. This study was conducted during October 1998 until February 1999 in Agriculture Extension Service, Peudada North Aceh. Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (3x3x3) with three replications was employed. Soybean varieties were Kipas Putih, Kipas Merah, and E' Manok (local variety); spacing were: 40 cm x 10 cm, 40 cm x 15 cm, and 40 cm x 20 cm; while fertilizer (P2O5 and K2O in kg/ha) consisted: 30-30, 60-60, and 90-90. Parameters observed were Leaf Area Index (LAI), Crop Growth Rate (CGR) and Net Assimilation Rate (NAR). Result of study showed that: Variety non significantly influenced on LAI, CGR, and NAR. Spacing influence on LAI, CGR, and NAR. Narrower spacing (40 cm x 10 cm) can increase LAI, CGR, and NAR. Combined fertilizer of P and K has no influence in LAI, CGR, NAR. No interaction were found on all parameters observed under different variety, spacing, and fertilization
