The subtropical and temperate climate, enforcing the sexual reproduction in rose aphid, is found favourable for the appearance of sexuales of Macrosiphum rosaeiformis at altitudes ranging from 1180 to 2350 metres above sea level. Experimental observations on the comparative study of fecundity of oviparae and fundatrices shows that the former has relatively lower fecundity under similar ecological conditions. The growth of average body length, width of abdomen and length of head and vertex in rose aphid was found to exhibit a geometric pattern.
