Effect of housing systems on the reproductive performance of gilts*

In the present study the reproductive performance of pigs maintained under sprinkler system (T2) was found to be better than the pigs maintained under conventional system with wallows and almost on par with the range system. In fact, in certain cases like improvement of microclimate and age at puberty, the sprinkler system appeared to give better results than the range.
