Fertilizer use efficiency under vegetable drip-fertigation system

The objectives of this study were to evaluate the response of summer squash (Cucurbita pepo) for different rates of P applied conventionally and through irrigation water, and to compare conventional method and fertigation technique of P application in term of crop response, WUE. And PUE. Treatments consist of addition of P(as phosphoric acid through drip irrigation water)at rates of 0 ppm, 30ppm, 60 ppm, and 90 ppm. In addition, a treatment of conventional soil application of TSP at a rate of 30 ppm P was included. Nitrogen fertilizer was added uniformly to all treatments at 90 ppm concentration as urea-N through irrigation water. Venturi type injectors were used to inject fertilizers through drip irrigation system. All treatments were replicated four times in a randomized complete block design.
