Effect of feeding different levels of energy and protein during the last two months of gestation on shami goats performance in Jordan Valley
2000
Al-Totanji, W. | Lubbadeh, W.
Forty two Shami goats were distributed into six equal groups of seven goats to study the effect of feeding different levels of energy and protein on productive and reproductive performance of Shami goats . During the prepartum period each group of goats was fed one of the six experimental rations at the average of 1.25 kg concentrate and 0.5 kg tibin. Results of this study showed that increasing the level of energy in the ration of Shami goats during the last two months of gestation increased their average milk production and the average weaning weight of their lambs.
