[The forecast of trunk cross-section area in the intensive apple orchard]

The aim of the article is to find out a possibility to forecast vegetative growth of trees in an intensive orchard that depends on planting system. The prognosis was made in 1996 at the Pure Horticulture Research Station. A trunk cross-section was used for characterisation of vegetative growth of trees.
