The obtained results showed that liming of soils and mineral fertilizer rations and proportions changed not only the production of grass, but also the botanical composition of grass sward. Mineral fertilizer N300P150K225 provided highest dry matter yields 11.2 to 14.3 t ha*[-1) and as to botanical composition, valuable meadow-grass. Fertilizer N0P100K150 produced only 4.8 t ha*[-1) dry matter of grass, but the sward was composed of 60% white clover. On acid soils (pH 3.9) dry matter yield was 6.8 t ha*[-1), the sward being free from valuable grass and with weeds - Agrostis vulgaris With, Rumex acetosa L., Deschampsia caespitosa P.B. a. o. Soil liming increased dry matter yield in treatment with high doses of N (300-400 kg ha*[-1)). In swards receiving no potassium fertilizer the prevalent plant was Agrostis vulgaris With.
