Studies conducted to determine the effect of Pix, a plant growth regulator on the development of jassid and whitefly and percent bollworm infestation, plant growth and yield of cotton variety NIAB-86. The results indicated that Pix decreased the jassid population on lesser rate at higher doses than lower doses. Single application of every Pix dose did not decreased the jassid population. Similar trend was found in case of whitefly population, it decreased from higher to the minimum level after 3rd application of each respective dose and increased gradually in the forthcoming weeks. The higher doses of 370.50 ml, 308.75 ml, and 247 ml/ha enhanced the number of whitefly as compared to the lower doses of 185.25 ml and 123.50 ml/ha. Although, the percent bollworm infestation in squares remained unobtrusive with any Pix dose and even their number of applications. However, pix at a rate of 308.75 ml and 375.50 ml/ha encouraged the bollworms to infest green bolls more as compared to lower doses. Moreover; number of Pix applications exhibited no population change during the observed weeks. Height of the plant reduced to a significant level in treatments having Pix doses of 375.50 ml and 348.75 ml/ha followed by 247 ml/ha. It was concluded that the dose of pix at a rate of 247 ml/ha is quite effective in getting the maximum yield in cotton variety NIAB-86.
