2001
Hafeez, A. | Ahmad, S. (NWFP Agricultural Univ., Peshawar (Pakistan). Dept. of Plant Pathology)
Seventeen different genotypes of sunflower were screened for their resistance to charcoal rot under artificially inoculated field conditions. Genotype SF-187 was highly resistant while PTH-1 and SMT were resistant to the disease. Charcoal rot caused reduction in grain yield (14.4%), head diameter (20.3%) 1000-grain weight (15.7%), oil content (15.7%), and plant height (16.9%) in susceptible genotypes.
