The activity of hydrolases beta-galactosidase, beta-glucoronidase, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase, acid phosphatase and catepsin D and L in the leucocytes of rabbits was studied. The values changed individually with age of animals. The lowest values for beta-galactosidase and catepsin D and L were found in 21 days old rabbits, for beta-glucoronidase, acid phosphatase and N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase in 3 years old animals. beta-galactosidase, beta-glucoronidase, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase and acid phosphatase activity reached maximal activity in 77 days old rabbits. In 2 and 3 years old animals beta-galactosidase, N-acetyl-beta-glucosaminidase and acid phosphatase activities were definitely lower than in 21 days old individuals
