Three soils, with light, medium heavy and heavy soil textures were enriched with crop and root residues of thirteen plants with different chemical composition and C:N ratio. After 360 day period of incubation, organic carbon contents in soil samples were determined. Statistical evaluation of results obtained by polynomic regression method showed very high significant negative correlation between the amount of mineralised carbon and content of 0.01 mm fraction in the soil. It results, that increasing of portion of 0.01 mm fraction in soil has inhibition effect on mineralization processes. Obtained results confirmed this assertion as follows: 93.42% of initial carbon content mineralised in light soil, 86.29% in medium heavy soil and 78.91% in heavy soil. Influence of qualitative structure of organic substances in plant residues on mineralization intensity of organic carbon, which showed different reaction of individual plant residues on soil texture changes, was confirmed
