The degradability of crude protein and organic matter was determined by in sacco method in the rumen of three young steers. We used three concentrates and two forage feeds. The intestinal digestibility was determined by the mobile bags method. The highest degradability of crude protein was found in maize silage (71.8%) and lucerne hay (71.7%), the lowest in mashed maize (48.6%). The degradability of organic matter was the highest in extracted soybean meal (71.4%) and crushed maize (65.0%), the lowest in lucerne hay (46.2%). Intestinal digestibility of undegraded crude proteins was the highest in extracted soybean meal (99.0%) and the lowest was found in maize silage (45.0%)
