Crude extract from Cardiospermum halicacabum was used to studied analgesic, anti inflammatory and antipyretic activities in mice. The preliminary screening of anthelmintic activity in chicken and cytotoxicity in P388 cell suspension of the extract were also investigated. It was found that the analgesic activity, anti inflammatory action of the extract were dose-dependent. However, the activities were decreased when mice were fed with 1.4 g/kg body weight. This pattern was also found in the stydy of anthelminticaction. It has also demonstrated that the extract reduced the number of worms in the chicken's intestine but did not significantly showed the excretion of the worms in the dropping. No cytotoxicity of the extract on P388 was found.
