The effect of nutrition on quantity and quality of obtained bull ejaculates

Results of the investigation of the effect of two types of diets on quantity and quality of obtained bull ejaculates are presented in this paper. Obtained results indicate that the effect of nutrition on quantity as well as quality of obtained native or frozen ejaculates was considerable. Two of diet types with 16% and 14% of crude protein were used. Better results were achieved with diet containing 16% of crude protein. This investigation has confirmed that by use of diet with higher content of crude protein more usable ejaculates are obtained as well as greater quantities of obtained and used ejaculates. It should be pointed that these are not only factors influencing the quality and quantity of used ejaculates, however they are significant and need attention.
