The subject of this study are the selected autochthonous plum brandy varieties in the regions of the following municipalities: Brus, Raska, Mionica and Knic (Serbia, Yugoslavia). The purpose of this paper is to use the results of the exact pomological and technological studies in order to select the best varieties that would be recommended for more intensive growing in the future production. In 20 autochthonous varieties the most important biological properties have been studied: ripening time, physical properties of the fruit (mass of fruit and stones, yield) and chemical properties of the fruit (dry matter content, total sugar and acid content).
