The soils of Mt. Prokletije (Yugoslavia) were studied, the imposing mountainous massif consisting of a series of high mountains Mokra Gora, Suva Planina, Hajla, Zljeb, Djeravica, Bogicevica, etc. The soils are presented in the form of pedosequences, depending on the substrate on which they were fonned. This study also includes the soils of the mountain fringe in the valleys of the Decanska, Pecka, Locanska Bistrica, Erenik and Susica. There are nine pedosequences: on alluvium, deluvial and alluvial-deluvial deposits, on red sediments, basic rocks, ultrabasic serpentinite, acid rocks, schists, flysch and sandstone, as well as on compact limestones.
