Study on effect of temperature and protein level on productivity of growing pigs

An experiment was carried out with 4 groups of 6 pigs reared in a biocamera type of hall. The animals from I and II group were reared at 28 C degree and those from III and IV group at 14 C degree. Pigs from I and III group were fed with a mixture conteining 20% protein and 1.1% lysine, and those from II and IV group - with 18% protein and 0.9% lysine. It was found that at rearing the growing piglets from the Danube White breed at controlled humidity (65%) and air draught (0.15 m/s) there was no significant effect of the factors temperature and protein level on growth intensity and fodder utilization. A tendency for better productivity was observed for the animals reared at 28 C degree and with 20% protein and 1.1% lysine.
