Control of an incubator is associated with solving a lot of complex problems. A genetic algorithm of the main program and the interrupt servicing routine has been synthesised. The structure diagram of a specialised microprocessor controller has been synthesed which takes into consideration the specifics of the controlled object. The basic functions of the suggested structure include control of the systems for heating, cooling, turning of the eggs, fault signalling and communication with a centralised information system. The increased requirements for fault-tolerance are met by introducing redundancy - the system for fault signalling is duplicated in hardware. Fault signalling is implemented for the cases when the parameters are outside admissible limits and for depressurisation of the incubator. The personnel is protected from injuries when accessing the incubator. A structure of a microprocessor configuration is suggested which allows for running of prototypes of test subroutines saved in an EPROM and of subroutines which are at the stage of testing saved in a part of the development system's RAM.
