The object of the study was to investigate the fattening abilities of lambs from the Newly created milk sheep breed, intensively fattened to 40 kg pre-slaughter live weight, with a view to future selection and meat production. It was established that the average daily gain of the lambs was comparatively high (302 g). The lambs had high meat herritability at intensive fattening to 40 kg. The lambs was drier, rich in protein and minerals, with larger fibers and loose and mucous tissue among the muscles in the carcass. Physical and chemical meat composition of the lambs fattened to 40 kg, did not show any significant differences which could crucially change meat quality.
