[Perspective cancer resistant potato varieties]

Preliminary investigation of cancer resistance is carried out under the vegetative-field test conditions and the State test - in the field (infectious plot), and parallel in lysimeter. In 1996-2000 preliminary testing was done for 2693 hybrids of potato and State -67 varieties and hybrids. Ate present 12 perspective cancer resistant potato varieties are at the State Strain-Testing Station which will be entered in the State Register
