[Nutritional needs and optimum strategy in swine fattening]

The article summarizes basic nutritional principles during the fattening period of pigs. It presents optimum fattening strategies in swine herds. The relation between lysine intake and weight gains in growing pigs is shown as an example of cost and benefit analysis. Two nutritional strategies are comparted and different simulation models are briefly discussed.
