The effects of crop year and genotypes on the lodging of winter and spring barley
2002
Pepo, P.
The lodging of winter and spring barley varieties was studied on chernozem soil in the Hajdusag region of eastern Hungary in different crop years (1998-2000). The 7 winter and 8 spring barley varieties evaluated were grown in every year of a three-year period (20-30 winter and 15-25 spring barley varieties were studies each year). The results proved that the crop year had a strong effect on the lodging of winter and spring barley varieties. Precipitation in May and June had a decisive effect on lodging.
