[Additional feeding of kalium to mulberry silkworm in its rearing]

This was to clarify the physiological role of kalium in silkworm and to increase the cocoon production by adding the kalium compounds to silkworm's feeds. We could find several good results in this case: increasing the absorption ratio of phosphorus, the contents of iron and aluminium in its body; decreasing the contents of silicon; and increasing the protein decomposing enzyme activity, pH value of its digestive juice and the yielding ability and productivity of its eggs
