The insect pests control on peas

Peas are one the main legume crops in Lithuania. The cultivation area of peas has dramatically increased over the last decade, after introduction of new lodging - resistant varieties. These varieties are grown pure, without mixing them with cereal crops, which creates more favorable conditions for the occurence of insect pests in pea crops. Therefore, it is necessary to use plant protection measures against the main pest species on peas - pea and bean weevil (Sitona lineatus L.), pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris), pea thrips (Kakothrips pisivorus Westwood) and pea moth (Cydia nigricana F.)
