The research work on economic analysis of gram cultivation in Thal area (Sindh) was conducted during 1999. Research findings revealed that gram crop was significant through all the measures. The average size per farm was 2.15 ha. The average cost of production/ha; yield/ha; straw yield/ha; revenue productivity/ha; net returns/ha; input-output ratio and cost benefit ratio was Rs 10603.18, 2437.60 kg, 2437.60 kg, Rs 38974.45, Rs 28371.27, 1:3.68 and 1:2.68, respectively. It is recommended that extension methods, credit facilities, refresher courses and subsidies in inputs may be provided to the growers to get more production and profit.
