An experiment "to introduce exotic cultivar of cabbage i.e. Golden Acre, Stand By, Atlas, First of Julie, and Derby day as an off-season vegetable" was conducted at the Hilkot watershed. During the year 2000 Cultivar Golden Acre took maximum days while head formation (59.33). Atlas took minimum days (46.67) to head formation. Highest number of leaves (15.33) head-1 was produced by cultivar Golden Acre. Minimum insects attack (6.80%) was noted in Golden Acre followed by Atlas (23.40%) while maximum insects attack (51.0%) was noted in Golden Acre. Maximum Head diameters was recorded in cultivars First of Julie (32.77 cm) followed by Atlas (31.77 cm). Maximum head weight (332.5 gm) was recorded in Atlas. Highest yield (24220 kg/ha-1) was produced by the cultivar Atlas. On the basis of present experiment Atlas is considered the best cultivar for the farmers of the Hilkot watershed.
