Effect of several N:P:K levels on the performance of FCV tobacco had been studied during spring 2000 at Peshawar in RCB design, replicated three times. The plot size was 3x5 m with row to row and within row spacings of 75 and 50 cm respectively. Eight N:P.K levels (100:0:0, 0:50:0, 0:0:50, 100.50:50, 100:50:0, 100:0:50, 200:100:100, and a control) were used to record data on six parameters. Analysis of variance revealed that days to plant establishment, number of leaves/plant and dry leaf weight (kg/ha) were significantly affected by different N:P:K levels compared to non-significant traits like days to flowering, plant height(cm) and days to topping. Minimum days to plant establishment, maximum number of leaves/plant, plant height (cm) and dry leaf weight (kg/ha) were observed where 200:100:100 NPK (kg/ha) had been used. Similarly minimum days to flowering were, recorded in unfertilized plots while minimum days to topping were exhibited where plots had been fertilized with 0:50:0 NPK (kg/ha). However, it is concluded that a dose of 200:100:100 NPK (kg/ha) had given higher leaf yield compared to all other treatments.
