The research study on economic analysis of papaya production in Malir, District Karachi can well be conducted for the finding during 1999-2000, were the most efficient to cultivate the papaya at remunerative level. The Average area cultivated per farm was 7.68 acres equal to 3.10 Hectares. Average fixed cost per farm was Rs. 138282.33, per acre was 17997.70 and per hectare was 44510.15. Average labour cost per farm was Rs. 237510, per acre was 30912.39 and per hectare was 76501.03. Average capital inputs per farm was Rs. 24397.25, per acre was 3175.34 and 7858.25. Average marketing cost per farm was Rs. 285703.76 per acre was 37184.87 and 92023.97. Average total cost production per farm was Rs. 649461.68 per acre was 84528.63, and 209188.86. Average physical productivity per farm was 214405/40 kgs, per acre was 28224/40 kgs and per hectare was 76000/40 kgs. Average revenue productivity per farm was Rs. 1705832.50, per acre was 222017.24 and per hectare was 549441.43. Average per 40 kgs net Revenue was Rs. 173.59 and cost was 106.04 and average per kg Revenue was 7.03 and average per kg cost was 2.55. Average net income per farm was Rs. 1056368.31, per acre was 137488.28 and per hectare was 340251.76. It is concluded that Malir area of Karachi posses potential to boost up papaya production and its average per unit yield is significant in studied area. To increase per unit (acre/hectare) yield and consequently the income of the farmers. Quick and cheap transport facilities be provided to the farmers at farm gate. Technical guidance to be extended to farmers by Agricultural Extension Department, Agriculture Research Sindh and Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam. Chemical (Fertilizers) of good quality and high yielding variety of seed supplied to the farmers on cheaper rates. Credit facilities be extended and the procedure be simplified by the institutional and non-institutional lending agencies. Farm technology be provided to the growers in the producing areas. Refreshing training be arranged by Agricultural Extension Department, Agriculture Research Sindh and Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam for papaya growers in Sindh.
