Role of humus and silt minerals in reduction of inhibition effect of cadmium action on soil phosphatases
2001
Nowak, J. | Szymczak, J. (Szczecin University of Agriculture (Poland). Dept. of Biochemistry)
The results of laboratory studies on the effect of various doses of cadmium acerare on the activity of acidand alkaline phosphatase activity in soil enriched by addition of 5 percent of humus, bentonite and kaolinite are presented. It was found that all of the applied doses of cadmium salts decreased the activity of phosphatases, and a stimulation of these enzymes activity was due to the added humus. The phosphatase activity decreased also in soil treated with clay minerals
