Characteristics of acid sulphate soils in the Mrzezyno zone

The acid sulphate soils in the Mrzezyno zone were investigated. The studied soils were formed from peat of lowmoor, moderately decomposed and silted up. The peatland was periodically flooded by sea waters from Rega river and Resko Lake. The study indicated that acid sulphate soils were situated in the central, deepest part of the peatland.
