Effect of pesticides on growth and seed yield of faba bean

The effect of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and desicant on plant growth and seed yield of faba bean was sudied. All the herbicides decreased population of weeds by 71.90 percent and additionally limited significantly the infection of plants by fungi. Fungicides distinctly reduced the plant infection by Botrytis fabae and Ascochyta fabae during the whole vegetetion season. Application of pesticides increased significantly the number of pods and seeds per plant as well as the 1000 seed mass. It was also stated that application of herbicides, inscticides and fungicides increased the seed yield by about 14, 17 and 4 percent, respectively, as compared to the control
