The effect of different methods of stratification of Mahonia on seedlings, some morphological features and aboveground plant parts (height of seedlings, number of leaves, thickness of stems) and root system (length and number of roots was studied. The following variants were applied: 1: fresh mahonia fruit sown in the ground in autumn; 2. seeds taken from fresh fruit and sown in the ground in autumn; 3. seeds subjected to warm-cool stratification and sown in the ground in spring; 4 seeds subjected to stratification in autumn in freezing machine and sown in the ground in spring. Mahonia seed stratification in the ground and under laboratory conditions (warm-cool stratification) increased the number of seedlings and the length of the root system
