The application of protected methionine increased the MetDI content of rations to 2.8 percent PDI (protein trudy digestible in the small intestine), which accounted for 91 percent of the daily recommended dose. Despite the observed increase in the amount of methionine absorbed in the small intestine, the authors did not find any statistically significant variation in milk yield and chemical composition of milk
