Yielding and use value of meadows in the Por Valley
2001
Wylupek, T. (Agricultural Academy in Lublin, Zamosc (Poland). Inst. of Agricultural Sciences)
To estimate feeding value, the yield of hay was fixed on the base of 27 random plant samples taken from areas 2x square m. The samples were used to evaluate yield and carry out botanical-gravimetric analyses. The communities of Phragmiteteta classes, Scheuchzerio-Caricetea fuscae and Molinietalia provided fodder of low quality. The meadows of Alopecuretum pratensis association had the highest yield (3.2-3.8 t per ha hay in 1-cut) and the highest use value number (7.8-9.0). Their fodder-besides Mg-was poor in all basic nutients
